I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed this story. It was suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat. Your writing is lovely and your phrases such as 'kissing the sun" to refer to Illya were perfect. I totally felt Napoleon's pain and grief and Illya's fear and anger and grief for the life he had had. The woman Thrush was terrifying and adding Dr. Ward enriched the story because he was such a 3 dimensional character. The revelation that the UNCLE doctor was passing on his research to Thrush was brilliant and completely took me by surprise but then I was like 'of course they would do that'. Very very well done and I thank you for sharing it.

I got completely caught up in this story (I love a good, long story). You did a great job portraying Illya as blind - the frustrations, the anger - and Napoleon as being by his side the whole time. Well done!
