This story was an amazing mix of giving all the hotness of noncon as well as emotional complexity and moral characters. Not to mention that the noncon went both ways, really, and Illya even acknowledged that it was a touch traumatic to Napoleon as well at the end. Loved that despite many things, I did get the sense that Illya was firmly in control at all times.
I loved these lines of Illya's:
"Will you shut up and stop endangering the mission with your unfounded worries if I promise that when we get back, to our well-earned downtime, I will show you how it can be?"
"Now can we hurry up and finish saving the world?"

This was kind of heartbreaking. You really managed to get into Napoleon's mindset and you could feel his pain, but at the end you got the idea that it was exactly what Illya wanted and you have to wonder how Napoleon could not have known that he loved his partner. Fantastic job as always.

OK, now I'm hard!!! Great story! Would that I could make a case for that entire scenario on Boston Legal fan fic!!! Alan is at least as sexy as Illya! And while Denny is no Napoleon, I can see him loving it all! Except Thrush! I haven't read anything that good since I read Farfalla on Boston Legal/slash introducing Denny to the joys of 'man-love' as demonstrated by Alan! Thanks, I know that took a lot of care and thought!

Faux non-con is hard to write and this was truly fantastic. I love it!

Fantastic! Love Illya with all his confidence, and Napoleon with all his passion, and how well they *ahem* work together...

Damn, that was hot! I love Napoleon's totally unwarranted freakout and Illya's delightful competence.

Holy cow, Cord, that was amazing. And the fact that I liked it, liked reading about Illya's suffering, made me feel Napoleon's pain in an almost conspiratorial manner. Extremely well done. And extremely hot.
